Detroit is in shock after a local woman, Jordan Love, was charged with animal cruelty for allegedly stabbing her dog multiple times and live-streaming the incident on social media. Authorities discovered more injured animals at her home, and Love now faces several charges including second-degree killing of animals. Detroit is reeling from the distressing news of a local woman, Jordan Love, who has recently been charged with a heinous act of animal cruelty. The 29-year-old allegedly stabbed her dog multiple times and shockingly shared the gruesome incident via a live-stream on social media. This disturbing event occurred on February 7, and it’s shaken the community to its core.
The chaos erupted in a home located on Manning Street after concerned individuals contacted local authorities about a dog being stabbed. Responding to the reports, Detroit Animal Control officers arrived at the scene to find a nightmarish reality. Upon forcing entry into the residence, they discovered a dog severely injured, suffering from multiple stab wounds to its torso.
Beyond the injured dog, three other dogs and four cats were also seized from the property, sparking serious concerns about the welfare of these animals. The live-streamed video of the injured dog, which Love uploaded to Facebook Live around 1 a.m., has left many viewers shocked and horrified by the brutality of the act.
With the gravity of her alleged actions, Love now faces serious legal repercussions. She has been charged with second-degree killing and torturing animals and also faces additional counts for abandoning and showing cruelty to animals, which involves between four to ten animals overall.

After the heinous act, it is alleged that Love fled the state of Michigan, creating a sense of urgency to apprehend her. Law enforcement successfully tracked her down in Greenville, South Carolina, on March 20, leading to her extradition back to Michigan. She finally arrived back on Michigan soil on April 9.
